How did I get here?

Back in 5th grade, I learned Logo in school. I don’t remember how I felt, but I must have like programming. I was also playing Minecraft and experimenting with redstone logics and command blocks. After that, I moved on to Scratch, Pascal, C++, becoming more interested in programming.

Eventually, I got into Competitive Programming, where I learned a lot about algorithms and probleming solving. After a while, I wanted to build something useful, so I learned JavaScript and Discord.JS to make a Discord bot!

Why Web Development?

  • I don’t have to learn how to write 5 apps, each for Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, and Android.
  • I don’t need to buy an expensive MacBook just to make iOS and MacOS apps
  • I don’t need to pay Google $25 and Apple $100/year just to publish my app on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
  • “Check out my app at 20050703.xyz!” is way less sus than “Here is the .exe file, download and install and run it, trust me I didn’t put a virus in there”
  • I can go from an idea, build a prototype, publish it online, and have someone else use it within days or even hours, without waiting for Google and Apple to review and approve.

Why SvelteKit, TailwindCSS, and DaisyUI?

Be careful using any of these tools:

  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind
  • Svelte

They make it really hard to go back to whatever thing you were using before.

Why DaisyUI? Because I don’t want to reinvent the look and feel of every button, modal, input, etc., but I also don’t want my site to look like Every Fucking Bootstrap Website Ever
